				Problem:  Marked open bite with some broken down posterior teeth Solution: Extracted lower first molars and closed the spaces forward, attempting to intrude the posterior teeth at the same time with the option of surgery as required Notes:Treatment progressed well with the mandible not opening and the bite closing down. We were pleased with this result.
